The Warner section of the Rail Trail became operational in late Summer 2014. The Active Transportation Grant administered through HEAL-NH provided support during the earliest days of this project when it was only a grand vision for the town. Through an AT Grant, private donations, a donation from the Nancy Sibley Wilkins Trust, support from Warner Parks and Recreation and over 100 hours of volunteer work, the trail quickly came to life. As everyone came together, a great deal of brush was cleared, the grade was restored, stone dust was brought in and compacted, gates were installed and much more. Today, the Warner section of the trail is open and enjoyed by many of Warner’s residents.
